Cookies are possibly the most misunderstood thing on the Internet. A cookie is tiny file put and maintained on your computer by a web site. The reason for this is that in many cases a web page wouldn't work. Shopping carts and online booking systems (like the Quokka Online Booking System) need to keep a cookie on your machine so that during the purchase or booking process, the program can tell your booking process apart from all the other simultaneous ones.
