FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vancouver, BC, Canada - March 23, 2009
Quokka Systems Consulting Ltd. increased the writer contributor stakes for the Canadian travel industry February 23, 2009, when it launched a series of updated travel online booking websites offering visitors the chance to contribute articles about their travel experiences.
Travellers who have experienced specific destinations are invited to write 500-1,500 word articles, pictures optional, and add them to TravelInBC.com and other travel-in websites. Featured articles will be down to earth and share the information that visitors really want to know about the region.
Quokka Systems promises to run articles about destinations and accommodations that are truly useful. "Rants, ratings and other unsubstantiated chatter is not what the site is about," says Robert Ford, President of Quokka Systems. Writers will also be welcomed to write about the experiences they had that other tourists would enjoy.
The objective is to provide website visitors with relevant destination information that has been written by real people whose "authorial voices" have been preserved. Ford states, "Travel is about real people having genuine experiences that will benefit others. But one person's diamond is another person's stone; it's up to the reader to decide."
A simple sign up process to become members and earn the right to publish as many articles as suitable are the only steps between a writer and publication. All contributions are reviewed to ensure their appropriateness for the site, and are checked for typographical errors.
The Travel-In websites are becoming familiar to tourists as offering consumers a better "build your own vacation" program while connecting them seamlessly with a travel business' inventory and pricing. The Travel-In family of web sites has processed millions of dollars in bookings and connected thousands of qualified visitors to accommodations' web sites.
The Travel-In family of websites includes:
Quokka Systems plans to launch its fully bilingual Quebec site in 2009.
More announcements are expected in the next few months as Quokka Systems plans to launch display stats and a contributor's page for their writers.
