What's New?

New Senior Account Manager

Emma Lee-Amies has rejoined Quokka Systems! Some of our inaugural clients from 2000 will remember this bright, energetic and won't-take-no-for-an-answer lady. She helped bring our first clients on board and is now back in the fold after a stint of owning her own restaurant.

The whole team is excited to have her help in making the sales and marketing process fun and effective.

Hooray!

New Hardware

It seems that, in the computer business, you have to replace computer hardware more often than shoes. We are upgrading our key server for the Quokka Online Booking System on September 30th 2003. System outage notifications will be going to everyone, but we have planned it such that we hope to be down for only an hour.

Our old machine took 835,722 inquiries and displayed 11,033,305 possible room-nights that people could have booked.

Due to the growth of the business, we needed to increase speed and capacity in order to handle our next big high season.

Naturally if you have any questions about the system, please contact your support rep. You can find her at our Contact page.

AccomEx '03

On Oct 22 and 23, the BCLCA is hosting the AccomEx '03 convention in Qualicum Beach. Quokka Systems will be exhibiting and Robert Ford will be giving a one hour presentation "Anatomy of an Internet Guest". We look forward to seeing you there.
